hospital yet again. On February 28th we received a phone call (the ones you don't like) that they were taking dad to the hospital because he was having a VERY hard time breathing. We had noticed that he was coughing more and just not himself a few days before. After tests, they
diagnosed him with pneumonia. I felt so bad for him, watching him trying to breathe. One positive thing that came out of this was the care
that he received. They took him to Banner Gateway and the nurses took
such great care of him and were so nice. Well another plus, was the rooms, holy cow we thought we were in a resort. I think he was discharged on March 5th- starting to lose track of dates. Anyway after some research and visiting places, we moved him to Chandler Health Care Center. He seemed to be doing well. After about 1 1/2 weeks insurance said he was no longer Skilled Nursing, so they moved him to
the Long Term area. Well he was over there for a mere 1 day and we received another call, saying they were taking him in again for dehydration. We also found out that he had a UTI and very high sodium levels. Spent 4 days at Chandler Regional - hey we just want to check them all out. Back to Chandler Health. Doing good again, enjoying going outside everyday and being out in the great spring weather. Getting to know the nurses and staff, and other patients. Yes there is one
scary lady - Ruth would be her name. Zachary is a little scared of her.
She came into Dad's room the other day claiming he was her son Gary.
Hmmm, now I am a little worried. Okay, so here we go again, April 5th
(5 month mark) phone call AGAIN! Guess what, dehydration and UTI.
Really, what is going on??? How much more must this man go through?
I can not even imagine how frustrating this must be to him. But yet again, I think of what a great non complaining man he is and am humbled. He justs seems to take things as they come. I know this is all
part of the plan and we are learning and growing, but I just feel SO bad
for him. Just keep hoping for that small miracle. As always in the hospital he is getting awesome care. The nurses are so good. I have a
new appreciation for all that they do. They do not have easy jobs at all.
I think this kind of brings us up to date on pops (as Sage would say).
Hopefully we can keep him healthy and strong and get the rehab he needs so the next place he goes is HOME! Thanks to all for love, support and prayers.
He are some pictures in the past month.

Sawyer is sooo good to Grandpa, he always just
stands there letting him hold his hand. So cute.
Dad always smiles when ever the grandkids come!
