Gila Valley Temple

On July 30th we took a trip to Safford/Thatcher with some of the Duncan's.
When the Gila Valley Temple was dedicated in May, Scott had an impression that we as a family needed to finish his parents temple work by his dads birthday (july 21). I don't know the exact numbers, but is was HUNDREDS. With the help of family, friends, ward members and even strangers at the temple we were able to accomplish about 99% of it. His dad was very overwhelmed when we presented him all the completed names. As part of the "project" Scott wanted to go to the Gila Valley Temple to do the final sealings, as this is where the Duncan-Foote family roots began. It was really neat to have all of us in the sealing room and to seal these families together. As we were doing sealings, Emili and Whitni were doing baptisms , 50 each. Guess they weren't very busy. This was also a faith building experience for me, cause I was a little, ok maybe more than a little negative the whole time thinking there was NO way this was all going to happen in such a short time. Apparently the Lord knew differently. I am grateful for this experience we were able to have as a family.

So this was across from our hotel. Only in Safford!
Church, movie, coffee - what more could you want?

It was Troy's birthday, so we "decorated" his room
Finally, Emili found someone!
They got done before us, so they went "cruising
main street"
